Monitor Application on Windows

Problem

I have an application on Windows running as a daemon. I want this app to keep running all the time. If the application is closed by mistake or crashes for some reason then I need a way to automatically restart the application and send a notification about the event.

Solution

I prefer simple tools enough to satisfy the need nothing fancy. I found this tool and I liked it. It is called AppMonitor and it is free. Here is a direct link to their download page. You can monitor many applications at the same time and control the frequency at which you want to check for application status. I did not test the email notification but I think if you do provide a valid SMTP server then it should work I guess.
